Our roots go back to 2005 with just five heifers and 30+ acres of sweeping Colorado grassland.

Noland Cattle Company founder Arthur Vasquez has had family in northern Colorado since the early 1970’s, but Arthur’s interest in livestock began in 2005 with the purchase of a 30-acre ranch nestled beneath foothills dotted with pine trees and red rock.

In 2007, the family’s purchase of five heifers was originally meant to simply provide an alternative to mowing or cutting the grasses on the ranch’s property, but ready access to quality, home-raised beef quickly turned into friends asking about the opportunity to purchase locally. Thus, the idea for Noland Cattle Company was born.

Today, outside of Lyons, Colorado, Arthur, his family, and staff run over 125+ combined head of cows, calves, steers, and breeding bulls on the ranch as well as several leased pastures. The red rock outcroppings on the timbered foothills provide a picturesque backdrop to the family’s operation, where they’re dedicated to sustainability and longevity in both their land and livestock practices.

Noland Cattle Company’s commitment to longevity begins with ensuring that we’re working both the land and our animals in a sustainable way for future use. Learn more about our grazing practices and what we’re doing to develop healthy, productive cattle.
